Commercial
Costs are increasing due to both raw material and currency fluctuations by a minimum of 5% - costs can no longer be maintained with global costs set to accelerate over the coming months coupled with those of the last six months. |
Technical
There is mounting evidence to recommend bulk lamp changes for certain luminaire types to prevent damage to electronic gear which will prove expensive in the medium term. For further information contact sales@challenger-lighting.com |
WEEE Directive
As of 01/07/2007, the WEEE directive for “effective” lamp disposal took effect. The net result is a £0.15 disposal charge per fluorescent and discharge light sources. Challenger passes this cost to the end user as a separate line entry on all invoices. As is our practice, all “spent” lamps will be removed from site at the end of our visit and disposed of via Recolight from our depot in Gosport and Recolight sites throughout the U.K. Please note the charge is levied by the lamp manufacture to conform to EEC requirements – Ref. SI 2006 no. 3289. |
